To help make your first visit with us as smooth-sailing as possible, we’ve gathered some important information for you below, including what you can expect during your first visit as well as details about dental insurance. Your First Visit
When you step into our Owasso dental practice for the first time, you will be warmly greeted by our front office concierge. She will check you in for your appointment and assist you with completing or updating forms on an electronic device.
You will start by meeting with our hygienist. She will spend a few minutes getting to know you, will look at your teeth and gums, answer your questions, and begin the examination process. She will screen you for oral cancer and take any needed X-rays and a CT scan of your jaw.
Next, you will meet Dr. Lim, who will complete the examination and go over his findings with you. This examination process is thorough, and you should allow an hour to an hour and a half for this appointment. We don’t normally do a dental cleaning at this appointment, but will schedule that as part of your treatment after Dr. Lim has made a complete diagnosis of your needs.
If you are coming to Dr. Lim because of TMJ problems, because you have a toothache, or want some other specific service, you will begin by meeting directly with Dr. Lim.
If you need a professional dental cleaning, we will schedule you for one after Dr. Lim has had the chance to carefully examine your mouth and diagnose any health concerns.
We also offer a consultation if you are coming in for a second opinion or want to learn about your options for smile makeovers or dental implants before committing to a paid exam.
Dental Patient Forms
We ask that all of our new dental patients please fill out our forms online. You can do so by clicking on the link below, preferably once you’ve scheduled your first appointment with us. This will help save you time since you won’t have to do so in our lobby, allowing us to bring you directly back to one of our treatment rooms.
Dental Insurance
Our practice is happy to accept PPO dental insurance plans, and we’re proud to be in-network with Delta Dental. This allows you to save from steep out-of-pocket costs when you choose our practice! Even if your plan isn’t in-network, we’re happy to file insurance claims on your behalf to maximize your benefits. We’re also happy to help you better understand your benefits if you have questions about your plan.
CareCredit Financing
If you’re getting a treatment that either isn’t covered by your dental insurance, or you’re uninsured, you may be able to benefit from third-party financing through CareCredit.
